I bought this crop top originally for our honeymoon, and have gotten a lot of wear out of it this summer. It was used on Memorial Day, and now Labor Day! I love the color and fit with the tie knot in the front. Hopefully it gives you some great Labor Day outfit inspiration.
For this post, I paired it with high waisted red shorts, but I have also worn it with white denim. Labor Day doesn’t mean the end of white denim! In Texas we will have hot weather pretty much until winter, but you can transition white denim with fall colors and sweaters.
We are looking forward to the long weekend because we will be spending it with family, celebrating my grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary! It’s going to be like a huge family reunion.
What are your Labor Day plans?

Welcome to the first edition of Spark + Muse! In this series I will post a round up my favorite products that are sparking some inspiration, or acting as a muse, if you will. Some may be products I currently own and love, others may be items on my wish list. I plan on sharing non-fashion items like kitchen gadgets, gift ideas, beauty must-haves and more! Basically whatever is inspiring me is fair game.
I hope you follow along and enjoy the ride!
Today I have rounded up a list of items I use or similar to what I use. With months of heat still ahead of us here in Texas, I thought we could still get lots of use out of those off the shoulder tops! And white denim is pretty much acceptable to wear year-round now, you just pair it with a camel sweater or long vest and voila! Fall chic.
A pair of statement earrings is always my favorite accessory. And you can get so much use out of nude pumps and a classic watch, both for work and for play! Top the look off with this interchangeable curling iron and a fun pop of pink lipstick and you’re ready for anything. Also, I just recently discovered this blush when I saw a free sample and I love the bronzey-pink glow it gives me. (exact colors listed above)

I have worked from home for a while now, and I can honestly say that it does take a certain type of personality to be able to work from home all of the time. I have an organized, Type A personality so I find it easy to focus and get things done no matter where I’m located. However, I have worked from home in a few different scenarios and I must say, having a dedicated home office is a game-changer, even if it is a small office space.
In my first job out of college I worked for a startup that was growing quickly. So quickly we ran out of room in the office, so I worked from home a lot. The problem was, I lived with a room mate and didn’t have a separate work space. Most of the time I was working from my bed – which was not ideal. I started having trouble sleeping.
Not long after, however, I moved on to another job. I got to experience what it’s like working for a big agency, being around the best of the best. I loved my job so much but the only difficult part that Richard didn’t live by me! Richard traveled and lived all around the world before coming back home. When he decided to settle in a city that was the same state, I thought great! But still not PERFECT because it wasn’t in the same city as my job. Luckily my situation worked out to where they allowed me to work from my house.
While I may not have my own room dedicated to an office, I find that a creative space inspires my work ability. My desk is placed by the window so I get lots of natural light. I stay really organized with all of the nesting boxes and storage solutions I created. Oh, and it has a lovely black, pink, white and gold color scheme!
I hope you enjoy getting a peek at my office space and that it inspires you if you have a small office space!
